Hope's Story

It was May 18th, 2020 and me and some girlfriends had planned to go to West Fork, AR to float the river and drink some beer. We invited some of our guy friends to join and with one of the guy groups a new guy I had never met before showed up. He was wearing short Lululemon shorts and a UNC blue vintage snapback. I thought he was the cutest boy I had ever seen. I didn't speak to him that day because I was so nervous and had a huge crush but I told the guys to meet us that night to hang out again so I could work up the courage to introduce myself to this cute guy. That night they came over to the Cottages and Jack and I spoke for the first time. We got to know each other and had a lot in common.The next day I was with my girlfriends and I got a facetime from a random number. Hesitantly, I answered the call with my face out of frame because who the heck is facetiming me and I don't even have their number saved. It was Jack and he was calling to invite me and the girls over to hang with him and his friends. He said he was on the way to his friends house now and could pick us up. We agreed and a few minutes later Jack pulled up in his green Ford F-250, hoped out, and opened the doors for us to let us in. We all stayed up late that night talking and dancing to music. Jack casually whipped out a back flip mid dance party and it was insane. Eventually we decided us girls should head home and as we waited outside for our Uber, Jack came out and kissed me goodnight. We've been inseparable ever since and I can't believe he is going to be MY HUSBAND!!!!

Jack's Story

The summer before my senior year, I decided to stay in Fayetteville and work to make some extra money. One day, I got invited to the river by some fraternity brothers and that's when i first laid eyes on Hope.

This is our favorite spot for Brunch and Breakfast cocktails! They serve our favorite gumbo in all of New Orleans (ask for a side of potato salad in the gumbo it's a New Orleans secret that makes it even better). Say Hi to Wes at the bar, he is the best!

Our favorite spot for oysters! Get the Char-grilled oysters they are amazing! We also recommend sitting at the oyster bar and getting them shucked in front of you if you like them raw!

Our favorite spot for beignets and coffee! They have flavored coffee and other breakfast choices as well. We prefer this over Cafe du Monde because it has more options and a shorter line!

The best slice of pizza in Nola! One bite everybody knows the rules. Dave gave it an 8.3. Seriously delicious.

Our favorite place to get sushi is Tsunami! Everything is so fresh and delicious and there is great ambience. We recommend the Monster Roll, it has strawberry and kiwi on top and is so so good!

Our favorite spot for pasta, pizza, and a glass of wine! If you need to carb load to prepare for the dance floor you need to go to Gianna!

Every time we need a late night junk food stop, we find a Willie's Chicken Shack. Period. There are locations all over New Orleans! Their fried chicken is so good it made my daddy cry. We highly recommend trying the honey mustard with the fries and fried chicken. You will dream about this meal, we do.

We love getting a cocktail here and sitting on the carousel! They usually have live entertainment in the evenings! Check their entertainment schedule to see!

This is the bar in the Ritz Carlton! They have amazing cocktails and live jazz music! Great place to sit and enjoy music or get up and dance!

Davenport Lounge

The Famous Pat O'Brien's! If you want a famous New Orleans cocktail this is the place to go. This is the birthplace of the Hurricane Cocktail!

We love to go for a run in City Park. The Louisiana scenery is gorgeous here! If you want some fresh air away from the noise and have time for a walk or run check it out. There is also a Cafe Du Monde location here to treat yourself after a workout!
